The Round Rock City Council unanimously approved a quantity-adjustment change order of $155,000 with Cash Construction Company Inc. for the Gattis School Road Segment 3 project, bringing the total contract value to $26,891,000.
City staff described the work as part of an ongoing project that will expand the roadway to six lanes from Windy Park Drive east past Gramercy to Round Rock Ranch Boulevard. The project is currently under construction and, according to staff, is on schedule for completion in September 2026.
Mark (city staff, presenting the item) said the requested change order is for minor quantity adjustments and small change items related to the civil work. “This project is on schedule. Cash Construction is doing a great job,” he said. Staff recommended approval of quantity adjustment change order number 1.
Council Member Ortega moved approval; the motion was seconded by the mayor pro tem. The resolution passed on a unanimous roll call with all council members voting yes.
The change order is limited to the contract cost adjustment described in staff materials; staff did not propose any scope changes or a revised project completion date during the meeting. City staff will incorporate the approved change order into the project contract and continue construction oversight.
