During the March 25 public‑comment period, David Snell, who said he owns Starlight Flight and has operated at the Addison Airport for 33 years, told the council Atlantic FBO terminated leases on two of his airplanes shortly after he renewed a lease. Snell said one airplane was on month‑to‑month terms and another had a recently signed 12‑month lease.
Snell told the council he had received a call on Feb. 4 from an Atlantic area director who explained the terminations; Snell said Atlantic later cited hangar space as the reason but that he observed other aircraft that had not flown and appeared to occupy hangar space. He described attempts to obtain a meeting or substantive response from Atlantic corporate officers that, he said, had not been answered and said he had forwarded documentation to Atlantic’s human resources and senior management.
Snell asked the town to “put some heat” on Atlantic and said he sought council help to understand how hangar‑space shortages justified his lease terminations. He said he had not yet initiated legal action and asked the town for any assistance or explanation. Council acknowledged the comment and thanked him; staff later said airport staff had been assisting him with possible hangar alternatives and temporary metal hangars on the field.
