Morales also explained that for the Kaboom Town fireworks contract the recommended vendor (Pyro Shows of Texas / Force C) had been used for decades and that one other vendor (Liberty/Liberty Fireworks) asked clarifying questions about grand‑finale shell counts and elected not to submit a proposal. Morales noted the town had budgeted $150,000 for the fireworks program for the current year after prior contract pricing originated from a 2020 bid.
The mayor called the motion to approve the consent agenda; council voted in favor by voice vote and consent passed.
