The Bourbon County Commission voted to pay delinquent property taxes for a county-owned lot at 201 S. Crawford and to pay an additional workers'-compensation premium following an annual audit.
A county official said the unused lot behind the drivers' license office was intended for a parking lot that never materialized and that the county had no current exemption; the commission moved to authorize payment of the outstanding taxes of $92.10 to keep the property current. A motion and second were recorded and the commission approved the payment by voice vote.
Separately, the county's KWorks workers'-compensation audit showed payroll increases and higher overtime in the prior year, producing an additional premium due of $29,401. A county staff member explained the premium is based largely on payroll history, not a single claim; commissioners approved paying the additional $29,401 to bring the account current.
Both actions were administrative payments required to keep county property and insurance accounts in good standing; no amendments or referrals were recorded.
