Weatherford City Council retreat — More than 1,000 Weatherford residents who completed a March community survey placed road maintenance, a recreation center and trail and sidewalk expansion among their top three priorities, city staff reported at the council’s annual retreat. The results fed a draft strategic plan staff will present for adoption this summer.
The survey, compiled by city staff and described at the retreat by Erin, a strategic‑planning staff member, asked residents to rate city services, identify priorities and pick up to three capital projects they wanted the city to fund. “City roads was number one, selected by about 48.7% of respondents,” Erin said during the presentation.
