Canal Winchester board elects Angela Barnes president, Dave George vice president; sets 2025 liaison appointments and meeting dates

At the organizational portion of the Jan. 6 meeting, the Canal Winchester School Board appointed Angela Barnes as board president and Dave George as vice president for 2025. Both appointments were made by motion and approved by roll call.
The board also filled liaison and representative posts. Monica Talley was nominated and approved to serve as the legislation liaison with Angela Barnes as alternate; Chloe was selected as student achievement liaison; and the CWJRD (Canal Winchester Joint Recreation District) representatives were assigned with Adam as primary and Dave George as secondary. Members said they would attend CWJRD meetings as scheduled.
Board members approved the calendar of 2025 board meeting dates as presented, with a note that the April 14 meeting falls on a spring break Monday and can be changed if necessary.
All organizational appointments and the meeting schedule were approved by roll call with the following recorded votes where taken: Angela Barnes for president (unanimous), Dave George for vice president (unanimous), liaison appointments (unanimous), and meeting dates (unanimous).
