Frisco City Council on March 4 adopted the 2040 comprehensive plan (case CA25-1) following a nearly two‑year drafting process that included a 27‑member advisory committee and more than a dozen public meetings and open houses. The council approved the plan on a 5-0 vote after a public hearing and presentations by city staff and the planning consultant.
The plan maps future land uses, updates place‑type definitions and lists about 276 action items the city and its partners can use to guide development, transportation, housing and economic strategy through 2040.
