Members of the Arrowhead robotics team presented a demonstration and brief overview of the 2025 FIRST Robotics Competition game "Reefscape" during the Tecumseh Public Schools board meeting on April 28.
Students identified their roles — lead programmer, driver, technicians and fabricators — and described how the team developed its design during a three-month build season beginning in January. Presenters explained the competition’s objectives (harvesting algae, seeding coral and returning to the barge) and outlined the autonomous and driver-controlled match phases. Students described fabrication tasks (covers, elevator and intake systems), programming responsibilities and how teams rehearse designs on cardboard prototypes before building.
Board members praised the students’ work and offered to connect them with community members and career-related contacts. Trustees and attendees applauded the team’s presentation; the group took a photograph at the conclusion of the demonstration.
Ending
The board thanked the Arrowhead team for the presentation and allowed a brief transition period for the students to take a group photograph before the meeting continued.
