Board approves personnel/timekeeping and Title IX updates, hears proposed changes to graduation and homeschool credit procedures

The Tecumseh Public Schools Board of Education on April 28 approved a set of routine policy and purchasing items and heard discussion of proposed changes to its graduation, homeschool credit transfer and early-graduation procedures.

The board unanimously approved an update to the district's ESTA policy, a revised Title IX policy, and the purchase of Red Rover attendance and timekeeping software for the business department. The board also accepted monetary donations to special-education programs and to the high school drama club. All motions recorded at the meeting were approved by roll call.

The approvals came during the meeting's action portion after staff presented the proposed policy language and procurement details. Superintendent Hilton and policy staff had previously discussed the items with the district policy committee. Trustees asked no substantive follow-up questions before voting.
