Dunn County commissioners approved a batch of utility permits and separately approved an overhead-electric crossing permit from McKinsey/Mackenzie Electric tied to a road project on 119th Avenue and Second Street.
Terry, the road superintendent, and county staff presented several utility-permit applications from Mackenzie Electric, Roughrider Electric and others for underground and relocation work in proximity to several road projects. County staff recommended approval of the permits; Commissioner Kliman moved to approve the permits, and Commissioner Pelton seconded. The motion carried.
Carl Acker, representing McKinsey Electric, presented the overhead crossing permit design specifics (clearance and crossing distances) and answered questions; the board moved and approved the overhead-line crossing permit for Mackenzie Electric.
The county recorded the approvals and asked staff to sign the associated permits so utilities can proceed with relocations and installations that coordinate with the county’s construction schedule.
