Dunn County awards CP13‑04 paving contract to Bechtel Paving after rebid

The staff report said rebidding saved roughly $400,000 compared with last fall’s bid numbers.
Commissioner Pelton moved to award CP13‑04 to Bechtel Paving; the motion was seconded and approved by roll-call vote. Commissioners noted the rebid drew multiple bidders (four submitted bids) and that Bechtel furnishes a contractor’s license and bid bond. The engineer recommended no additional background check at this time.
Staff will prepare contract documents and proceed with contracting steps required for the project to begin construction according to the county’s schedule.
