Marissa Mendoza, Pinal County Public Health director, described the department’s 10 divisions and the range of services they provide, including immunizations, emergency preparedness and response, restaurant inspections, infectious-disease investigations, school health and support for victims of assault. She said the week gives the county an opportunity to recognize staff and public-health work.
