Ravalli County commissioners voted April 29 to accept a $30,000 modification to an existing five-year cooperative agreement with the U.S. Forest Service that increases available funds for Weed Department contracts.
Kellyanne, presenting the modification to the board, said the Forest Service provided an additional $30,000 that will be used across the Weed Department’s participating contracts; she said the $30,000 is expected to be split into two $15,000 increments to support the salmon contract and the Johnson contract.
A commissioner moved to approve the grant modification; another commissioner seconded the motion. The board called for the question and recorded unanimous aye votes. The chair said staff will provide the finalized physical agreement and process the funding through county finance.
The action maintains the current five-year agreement term while adding the $30,000 modification to the county’s contract authority.
