New Milford seeks county funding for Williams Field lighting; Green Acres award announced for partial funding

The borough received notice from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection that its Green Acres application for Williams Field was selected for funding in the amount of $148,000. That is a matching grant, and the borough said additional outside funding would be required to meet the estimated project cost.
The second application is to the Bergen County Historic Preservation Trust Fund for the French Burying Ground. The borough seeks grant funds to restore grave markers and complete stabilization work including tree trimming and fence upgrades.
