The preservation commission needs to file a letter of intent by the end of the week; council members said the letter of intent does not commit the borough to full funding but signals interest in applying.
Council sought consensus to proceed with the grant application and to authorize a letter of intent; no final appropriation was adopted at the March 10 meeting.
