Tinton Falls council introduces ordinance to require commercial film and photography permits, public hearing set for April 15

The Tinton Falls Borough Council introduced an ordinance to create a new section of the borough code regulating commercial film and photography permits and scheduled a public hearing for the ordinance on April 15, 2025.

The clerk read the title as Ordinance 2025‑15‑25, an ordinance creating a new section of the borough code, chapter 5‑10, to be entitled “Commercial Film and Photography Permits.” The public hearing was set for April 15, 2025, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be reached on the agenda.

Council members moved and seconded introduction of the ordinance and approved the measure on a roll call vote, with Mr. Alessi, Miss Buckley, Mr. Nesse and Dr. Dobrin recorded as voting yes. Council President reminded the public that introduction is procedural and the public will have an opportunity to comment at the final consideration/public hearing.

No substantive debate or amendments to the ordinance text occurred during the introduction. The ordinance will return to the council for final consideration at the April 15 hearing, when written details of the new permit category and any proposed fee schedule may be discussed publicly.
