The Lake George Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau presented its first-quarter 2025 sales and marketing report to the Warren County Occupancy Tax Coordination Committee on April 21, detailing lead generation, bookings, room nights and marketing reach.
The CVB reported 42 leads (24% of its annual goal to date), 25 confirmed bookings (20% of the annual goal), 3,438 attendees and 3,179 room nights attributed to Q1 activity. Staff said 10 convention-calendar events booked during the quarter produced about $3,000,000 in estimated economic impact and roughly 3,700 booked room nights. The CVB also launched three microsites for specific events and recorded about 1,700 microsite views.
Marketing metrics included roughly 24,000 website visits across meetlakegeorge.com and affiliated sites, about a 17,000 impression increase across social platforms, and 340 new social followers. Staff emphasized that the CVB's campaign targets meeting and event professionals rather than leisure audiences.
The CVB said it continues to track downstream measures including leads, pending bookings, lost business, and service activity for partners such as hotels and event venues. Presenters noted that winter and off-peak season programming remains a focus to spread room-night demand beyond summer months.
Committee members thanked the CVB for the report; no committee action was requested.
