The Washington County Information Technology Committee on April 22 reported completion of two projects: a multi‑year camera upgrade at the county law enforcement center and technology work at the Whitehall substation to support the sheriff's office.
The committee was told the camera upgrade had been a long‑standing effort and is now complete. Committee members also discussed Whitehall, where IT said the county "put tech up there to support the sheriff's office." The staff member reported the Whitehall work "came in just about right" against the budget for that project.
No further questions were raised, and no formal votes were taken on the project updates. Committee members asked whether the Whitehall work had been an expansion; staff clarified it was not an expansion of the substation but deployment of technology to support sheriff's operations.
The committee moved on after the update to other agenda items.
