Wimberley City Council voted unanimously to accept a donation of an easement for a tract known as Stillwater Street (IDR R 109088), a 1.9-acre parcel described by the SRC Property Owners Association.
City staff explained the tract has long been maintained informally and that the SRC Property Owners Association cleared back taxes so the easement could be donated. If accepted, the city will become responsible for maintenance of that street segment. SRC representative Tracy Dean attended the meeting and answered council questions about the tract's history; staff said the easement probably should have been transferred years earlier and that the donation resolves a long-standing paperwork gap.
Council thanked the property association and accepted the easement by motion; staff noted the city will coordinate recordation with Hays County and follow the city's street maintenance program for upkeep.
