The Colony City Council approved an amendment to an existing specific‑use permit to allow a tattoo studio and proposed body‑art studio (The Gallery TCTX) to relocate from one suite within 4819 State Highway 121 to another suite in the same complex and to revoke the prior SUP for the old suite.
Planning staff said the applicant is expanding operations to include body piercing in addition to tattooing and that the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval 6–0. Staff further reported the development review committee found the SUP amendment met zoning requirements.
With no public comments, a councilmember moved to approve the SUP amendment and the motion passed without recorded roll‑call tallies in the spoken minutes. The ordinance will be entered into the official record as the SUP amendment for the new suite and the old suite will no longer be an authorized location for the use.
