Friese Nichols project manager Wilson Kerr told the commission he led the planning team for Allen 2045, calling the document “a 10 to 20 year vision for the community” and describing the plan’s chapters on future land use, transportation, housing, economic development and implementation. Kerr said the plan grew from a 14-month process of public engagement, including open houses, targeted outreach at Allen Independent School District events and two community surveys.
