"We are essentially applying just for a new license ... It just appears that files were lacking in the transfers ... the ABCC asked us to file for a new license," Allen said.
The board opened a public hearing under Massachusetts General Laws, chapter 138, section 12 and received no public opposition, either in person or virtually. After the hearing was closed, a motion to approve the new all‑alcohol on‑premises license was made and passed unanimously.
Why it matters: The action regularizes the restaurant’s alcohol authority and brings state and town records into alignment after the ABCC review. The applicant said no operational changes were planned.
What’s next: Town staff will update licensing records and the restaurant may operate under the newly issued license once administrative steps, including ABCC notifications, are complete.
