Brooke, presenting on behalf of the county’s economic development group, told the court, “a request to adopt this resolution designating the Logan Industrial Development Authority as the special purpose government entity to apply for and receive the TVA Bridal funds.” She said the practice has been repeated “several years” and thanked staff and the IDA for administering the funds.
A motion to adopt the resolution was made and seconded; the court proceeded to a roll call and recorded unanimous approval.
Why it matters: TVA in‑lieu funds are distributed to local economic development entities in some counties and are intended to support local projects that promote development and community investment.
