Llano officer honored after rescuing residents and two cats during March house fire

Bauer told council there were no working smoke detectors in the home and that Patton’s actions ‘‘actually saved these people's home. I cannot stress that enough.’’
Bauer also said two cats received oxygen and that the city’s animal control officer is trained in animal CPR. Council and staff presented a commendation to Officer Patton for actions described as ‘‘above and beyond his call of duty.’’
