Llano council renames sheriff's office address to honor fallen deputy

"What I wanna do to, honor deputy Taylor is to change our address to 752, which was his badge number. 752 Andy Taylor Drive," Cantu said.
Cantu read a summary of events from an officer memorial page, describing a traffic stop that ended with Deputy Taylor fatally shot and the subsequent manhunt that ended when the suspect fatally shot himself. Cantu said the department will send deputies to Austin to the memorial and requested the city's formal approval to change its official address.
A council member moved and a second was recorded; the motion carried by voice vote and the council applauded. Council members and others noted Taylor had served both the county and the city, including volunteer firefighting, and described the renaming as an honor to his service.
