Resident urges board to oppose vouchers, public informational meeting announced

Brininger said vouchers, proposed education savings accounts, limits on levy carryovers and other state actions would shift public dollars from neighborhood schools to private or unregulated providers and create additional funding pressure on property taxpayers. She encouraged the board to issue public statements and urged residents to consider litigation and other collective responses, saying, “I encourage you to do so.”
No board action was taken on the remarks. The board chair closed the open‑communication period and moved to the superintendent’s report.
