Commission approves two personnel actions: registrar rehire and weed department director start date
Summary
The commission approved a rehire in the Registrar of Deeds office and a hire for noxious-weed director effective May 5.
Registrar of Deeds Laurie Wizzardi presented a personnel-control notice (PCN) to rehire Sheila Moll (referred to in the packet as a rehire/new hire) for the Registrar of Deeds office. Commissioners moved to approve the PCN for Sheila Moll effective April 28; the motion passed.
Later in the meeting the commission considered a PCN for the Noxious Weed Department. Staff reported that Michael Bender (recorded in the motion as Michael Vende) is available to start and had completed personnel onboarding steps. Commissioners approved the PCN to hire Michael Vende as director of Noxious Weed effective May 5 by motion.
Both personnel actions were approved by the commission with the standard recorded “aye” votes. The personnel motions authorized county staff to proceed with hiring and indicated start dates for payroll and onboarding.
