A commissioner moved to approve the bid from Jim’s Plumbing and Heating & AC Inc. for the original bid of $45,411.92 and to include a flow‑through hydrant at the baseball field, with the board noting the hydrant would use a flow‑through meter and that user groups would be responsible for the water portion on their side. The motion designated funding from either the special projects budget or the capital improvement reserve fund; the motion carried.
Staff estimated project completion in about a week after mobilization and said work would be coordinated around scheduled events. The commission directed staff to work with Jim’s Plumbing to begin work as soon as possible.
