Council members unanimously approved the motion to suspend and the ordinance on April 8. The adoption means the city will participate in the ODOT cooperative bidding process; the final purchase price and exact quantities will be set by ODOT when bids are returned this summer.
The action was procedural: it authorizes participation in the ODOT procurement process rather than committing to a final dollar amount that will be reported when ODOT issues the contract award information.
