Kettering City Council approves a slate of contracts, appropriations and code changes; introduces several zoning and assessment measures

KETTERING, Ohio — The Kettering City Council on March 11 unanimously approved a package of ordinances and resolutions that included supplemental appropriations, new and renewed vendor contracts, and updates to personnel and traffic rules.

Council members front‑loaded routine but budgetary items, approving carryovers and appropriations that city staff said were necessary to complete projects and meet grant requirements carried from 2024 into 2025.

Why it matters: the actions move money and contractual authority into place for capital projects, park operations, technology services and public‑safety partnerships.
