Delaware County moves quarterly casino tax receipts to capital acquisitions fund for vehicles and equipment

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners approved Resolution 25-361 authorizing the transfer of the county’s quarterly casino tax receipts to the capital acquisitions fund for vehicle and equipment purchases.

Justin Nabi, director of finance, explained the request: “This request would authorize a transfer of the quarterly casino tax receipts, and these monies will be going to the capital acquisitions fund, and the monies will be used for vehicle and equipment purchases,” he said.

The motion passed unanimously; the roll call recorded Commissioner Benton, President Barb Lewis and Commissioner Merrill voting “Aye.” The budget transfer was presented as an internal accounting action to fund capital purchases; no specific vehicle or equipment line items were discussed during the presentation.
