County OKs Peterson Construction work at Alum Creek Water Reclamation Facility

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners approved a services agreement with Peterson Construction Company to install new baffles in four clarifiers at the Alum Creek Water Reclamation Facility and to perform authorized repairs at the ACWRF pump station.
Tiffany Mag, director of environmental services, said the work includes installation of baffles in the facility's four clarifiers and repair of recently damaged bollards at the county's largest pump station. Mag said the bollard damage was caused when an outside vehicle backed into them and that the county is pursuing recovery through human resources because the vehicle was external.
The contract is time-and-materials not to exceed $70,000, and commissioners approved resolution 25-351 by unanimous vote.
Mag said the clarifier work and pump station repairs are routine facility maintenance and necessary to keep treatment operations functioning.
