Rob told the board that the City of Delaware has been pursuing purchase of at least one parcel needed for the project and that the TID has right-of-way plans and prior appraisals for the remaining parcels. He recommended proceeding with the application now while the city pursues its acquisition, and the board agreed to prioritize the application over other potential submissions for this round.
The board also discussed tying the Bixby extension into other regionwide improvements, which Rob said could eventually create additional east–west connectivity across the county. No construction schedule was adopted during the meeting; staff noted only that the application deadline is imminent and that further project steps depend on grant award and right-of-way acquisition.
