Delaware County hires DLZ for schematic design of 911 Center at Carnegie Building; several resolutions approved

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 6 approved a professional services agreement with DLZ Architecture Incorporated to produce schematic designs for renovations to the county 911 Center in the Carnegie Building, with schematic design expected by June. The board also approved a set of routine resolutions, including annexation of 4.468 acres to the city of Delaware and confirmation of special assessments for a road realignment.

John Melvin, director of facilities, told the board that the county ‘‘finally worked out the contract language and agreement with DLZ’’ to evaluate the Carnegie Building and the 911 Center’s workflow and layout. ‘‘We should have that done by June, I think is the timeline,’’ Melvin said.
