Delaware County commissioners approve routine resolutions, set hearing and go into executive session

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners on Jan. 16 voted unanimously on a series of routine resolutions, including approval of electronic records, payment batches, an annexation filing, a date for a watershed hearing, supplemental appropriations for juvenile court, and a resolution authorizing an executive session for property and economic development discussions.

Karen Watkins, fiscal coordinator for juvenile court, explained the appropriation was needed to finalize last year’s closeout. Outcome: approved unanimously (3-0).

Resolution 25-29 — Adjourn into executive session to consider purchase of property for public purposes, sale of property and competitive bidding, confidential information related to economic development, and pending and imminent litigation (amended to include pending/imminent litigation). Outcome: approved unanimously (3-0); the board entered executive session during the same meeting.

All recorded votes were taken during the Jan. 16, 2025 regular meeting of the Delaware County Board of Commissioners. In the transcript each motion was presented with "so moved" and "second" but mover and seconder names were not specified for these routine items.
