The county's stated project scope includes cleaning and televising the vitrified clay pipe (VCP) sewers, pressure-grouting all joints to a specified pressure, cutting protruding service lines at the sewer main and sealing service connections, and sealing or replacing brick manholes where necessary. The presentation estimated construction costs at $1,490,505.49; a separate per‑foot rehabilitation estimate of about $60 was cited with actual cost contingent on the quantity of grout required.
Lisa said Portage County Water Resources has agreed to fund 50% of the local match; the county intends to request approximately $730,000 through the CDBG Residential Public Infrastructure program and identified $20,000 to cover regional planning administration. The board voted unanimously to authorize filing the application.
