Commissioners authorize Phase 3 sanitary lateral work, issue notices to proceed to three contractors

The Trumbull County Board of Commissioners on April 23 authorized the sanitary engineer to issue notices to proceed for Phase 3 of the countywide Sanitary Lateral Assistance program, awarding work to three contractors for separate groupings of household lateral connections in Yankee Lake Village, Brookfield Township.
Gary Newbrow, P.E., the county sanitary engineer, was authorized to issue a notice to proceed to 2M Services LLC for a combined total of three sanitary household connections in Yankee Lake Village, Brookfield Township, within the Trumbull County Combined Sanitary Sewer District. The board also authorized a notice to proceed to TK Excavating and Grading Inc. for a combined total of six sanitary household connections in the same area, and a notice to proceed to Express Underground Inc. for five sanitary household connections. The board recorded motions and second and voted yes by roll call on each item.
Commissioners and staff described the project as a continuation of the county’s Phase 3 assistance program; each authorization was recorded as a discrete notice to proceed to the named contractor. Commissioners recorded the votes as unanimous.
Ending: The board directed the sanitary engineer to proceed with issuing notices and to continue coordination with the Trumbull County Combined Sanitary Sewer District.
