William, representing Plug PV for owner Monica Smith at 12 April Way, described a proposal to place 27 full‑black panels on the garage and front roof and additional panels on the rear roof. “My name is William. I'm here representing you for Monica Smith,” he told the committee. William said the property sits on a side street and a cul‑de‑sac with limited public visibility.
Jessica of My Generation Energy presented the proposal for 60 Bray Farm Road North, saying 26 panels would be installed on the front and rear roofs and that the only visible portion from public ways would be the front garage array; she confirmed the panels would be black‑on‑black.
Committee members noted changing guidelines and local context. One member said panels that might once have had difficulty gaining approval are now often acceptable when visibility is limited and the design is unobtrusive. Both applications were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
What’s next: applicants will proceed to secure building permits and follow any required administrative review steps with the town.
