The Walworth County Zoning Agency reviewed the one-year conditional-use review for Lake Geneva House of Music LLC on May 15 after staff reported that the property had food trucks on the site outside hours allowed under its current conditional-use approval for Sunday flea markets.
County planner Kate explained the original conditional-use allowed Sunday flea markets with limited food-truck activity tied to markets. Christopher Beutelman, the site owner, told the committee that a tenant, Los Lupe's Taco Truck, had been operating weekly Taco Tuesday events from about 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. He said he and the tenant were not aware an amendment was required and that they would file an amendment to the conditional use to allow outdoor food and beverage year-round.
Kate confirmed the property is approximately 3.59 acres, which under county thresholds allows up to three food trucks. The committee asked whether formal complaints had been filed; staff said none were on file. Committee members suggested the owner work with staff to bring a formal amendment so hours and conditions can be clarified in writing. Beutelman agreed to return with an amendment and any requested clarifications.
