Council approves business incentive agreement for Restaurant Depot at second reading

On second and final reading, the City and County of Broomfield approved Ordinance No. 2257, the business incentive agreement with Restaurant Depot LLC. The ordinance passed by voice vote 9–0.
Jeff Schreier, the city’s economic development manager, summarized the item and introduced Stephanie Mallory, director of construction and property development for Restaurant Depot, who described the company as a wholesale food supplier that supports local restaurants and said she expects construction to begin in 2025 with an optimistic opening target in March 2026.
Council asked about wages and whether incentive terms include workforce or transportation requirements. Mallory described a range of positions at the facility — warehouse staff, equipment operators, cashiers and management — and said wages vary by position and experience. Staff said the city has not required workforce-transportation concessions for this agreement but could explore additional terms on future deals.
On the second reading motion, council member Wynne moved to approve Ordinance 2257 and council member Ward seconded. The clerk recorded the final vote as 9–0 in favor, and the mayor welcomed Restaurant Depot to Broomfield.
