The Sioux Falls City Council approved several routine agenda items Tuesday, voting unanimously on license transfers and special-event permits, multiple rezoning ordinances, an annual rural service district amendment and a resolution to surplus arena equipment to Sanford Health.
Licensing staff presented four items — a new 2025 retail malt beverage license for Wood Grama Brewing Company at 5200 E. Grant St., a 2025 liquor license transfer for Southside Partners LLC at 6211 Old Village Place, and one-day licenses for the Presentation Sisters (May 10) and the Zoological Society (June 26). Jamie Palmer of Licensing answered council questions; the items passed 8-0.
On zoning and planning, the council approved a second-reading amendment to the rural service district (item 40). Jeffrey Schmidt said the amendment lists 43 rural-service properties within city limits and that staff notified four properties reduced in size this year. The council also approved several rezoning ordinances recommended by the Planning Commission (items 42–44) to allow planned residential developments.
The council also approved a resolution declaring certain scoring tables at the Denny Sanford Premier Center surplus and authorizing gifting them to Sanford Health for use at the Pentagon. Scott Rust said Sanford Health requested the items and the city had replaced them.
All of these items passed on voice or roll-call votes with no additional conditions recorded in the meeting minutes.
