The Olive Branch Planning Commission approved the final plat for the Blakely 1 Lot subdivision, allowing a 1.25-acre residential lot at 7589 West Sandage Road to move forward to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, subject to staff conditions that include removal of two nonrunning vehicles prior to recordation.
Planning staff presented the site and said the lot is zoned R-2, single-family residential, and meets the district—s bulk requirements: minimum lot size 9,000 square feet, 35-foot front setback, 5-foot side setbacks, 25-foot rear setback and a minimum width at the building setback line of 70 feet. The lot is largely vacant except for two nonworking vehicles; staff said the property owner or neighboring owner has agreed the vehicles will be removed prior to recordation.
Commissioner Riemack moved to approve the final plat subject to the staff-recommended conditions; the motion carried unanimously.
Per staff, the next step is forwarding the approved plat to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Once that board approves and the plat is recorded, the lot may be sold or building permits issued in accordance with city land-development regulations.
