Resident calls spring-break policing 'overwhelming'; council hears calls for an after-action report

During public comment, another speaker — who identified himself as a neighborhood resident involved in local efforts — expressed the opposite view, saying he “felt like the police did a great job” and noting fewer people entered his neighborhood during the event. The exchange highlighted differing neighborhood perceptions about public-safety operations and the balance between visible enforcement and community welcome.
Council members did not take formal action at the meeting on the request for a report but limited comment noting the meeting’s public-comment rules; council members said they would consider follow-up through appropriate channels.
