Jean (Conservation Commission member) announced the plan and asked members to share the Facebook event through the town page. She said: “I just had a bunch of people asking me when we're gonna do it, and I said, okay.” The commission discussed staging areas, pickup trucks, and equipment: Chip (Conservation Commission member) said he would bring a tractor and “Chip's toy will be there,” and others confirmed trash bags and grabbers were available from previous events.
Commissioners noted a goal of returning to the transfer station before its 5 p.m. closing time. Members identified likely volunteers by name (Steve Smith to direct truck loading; Bradley Joy and Zach to help with pickup) and confirmed minors may attend if they do not operate equipment. The commission planned to take photos during the cleanup for outreach and to post results to the community Facebook page.
No new budget allocation was authorized at the meeting; members indicated existing operating supplies (trash bags and pickers) will be used. The commission asked volunteers to coordinate timing and transport and to report back on cleanup results at the next meeting.
