Breckenridge City Council approved Ordinance 2025-11 to abandon and convey a portion of Morningside Drive in the County Club Estates addition to adjacent property owners, while reserving easements for utilities.
Staff explained the road exists on the plat but is in poor condition and is not serving through traffic. The adjacent property owner, identified in the staff remarks as Raul Duran, owns land on both sides of the segment and has performed some maintenance. The ordinance abandons the platted right-of-way and conveys the land to the adjoining owners; the city will reserve utility easements to preserve access to existing water and other utilities that run through the area.
Council action: a motion to approve Ordinance 2025-11 as presented was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote with no opposition.
Implementation: staff will prepare deed documents to convey the vacated street portions and record the conveyance while retaining utility easements as described in the ordinance.
