Flandreau City Council elected Alderman Brad Berkey as council president and Alderman Mike Bargent as vice president and appointed the city finance officer and city attorney at its regular meeting.
The mayor opened nominations for council president and Alderman Bierke nominated Brad Berkey; the nomination was seconded and the council cast a unanimous ballot. For vice president Alderman Tufte nominated Mike Bargent; that nomination was seconded and the council cast a unanimous ballot.
The mayor then nominated Laurie Nebone to continue as city finance officer. The council approved the appointment; the mayor administered the oath of office and Nebone said, “I will.”
The council then approved the mayor’s nomination of Matthew Tisdall as city attorney and administered the oath of office.
