Flandreau City Council on Tuesday approved the first progress payments for the Series 02/2023 utility improvement project and received an on-site progress update from the city engineer and project staff.
Shane Waterman, the city engineer, told the council that crews were finishing the last services on the south side of the road near Crescent and that most of the large dollar amounts in the pay applications reflected stored materials rather than installed work. “So the numbers seem pretty big, but almost all of it is stored materials,” Waterman said.
