The City Council approved a $64,255 quote from All Star Construction of Clarksville, Iowa, to replace the roof at the Water Pollution Control Facility and the Crestwood Avenue lift station.
City staff explained that bids included uncertainty about the quantity of replacement insulation board underneath the existing membrane; the final square footage of replacement insulation will be known only after removal of the existing membrane. Staff said All Star’s per-square-foot material and labor prices were lower, the firm offered a longer warranty and it could complete the work this summer.
Councilmember (mover) moved to approve Resolution 25-66; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously on a roll-call vote. Staff said they will document the final square footage used and report the final quantities upon project completion.
