GROSSE ILE, Mich. — Township staff reported progress this month on multiple wastewater-treatment projects and the Public Services Commission recommended the board approve a contractor to replace a failing filter at the wastewater plant.
Ryan, manager of the wastewater plant, told the commission, "Sludge hauling was finished in late March. It went well. No issues with that." He also reported the odor-control system installed in the plant's primary room in early April is operating and appearing to mask odors; staff will monitor resident complaints into early summer.
