Staff updated the board on construction for the district’s new K–8 school. They said pay applications and change-order logs are under review and will be provided to the board for approval at the next regular meeting; staff asked whether members preferred those items on the consent agenda or as action items.
Bordeaux Moseley’s construction team will present a site update at the next meeting with photos; staff said footings are being dug in the field-house area and proof-rolling has been completed on access drives. Staff encouraged board members to attend the site visit scheduled on Friday.
On naming, the district conducted two stakeholder surveys. Staff said the results were aligned and the most popular names were “Hampstead Elementary” and “Hampstead Middle School.” Staff said they plan to move the naming recommendation to the action agenda at the next regular meeting.
Staff also said some project change order proposals (PCOs) were returned for additional review where funding or process questions remained; once reviewed by staff they will be submitted for board action.
